Text messages

InfoClientIQ sends a text only to deliver the link to a form a client asked their insurance broker for, and the reminders for that form. Never marketing, never recurring messages.

Who sends and who receives

InfoClientIQ is software used by Quebec property and casualty insurance brokerages. The broker prepares the form in the software; the text is sent from the InfoClientIQ toll-free number and received by that broker’s own client. The client has an existing business relationship with the broker and asked them for a quote before anything is sent.

How consent is obtained: verbally

Consent is verbal, obtained by the broker during the conversation the client themselves started, by phone or in person. There is no web form, no list and no import of numbers: a number enters the system only when a broker types it for one named client after obtaining their agreement. The broker reads this script:

"To prepare your quote I need a few details. I can text you a link to a short form. The text will come from InfoClientIQ, the software our brokerage uses, not from my own number. You will receive the link, up to three reminders if the form is not finished, and one follow-up if anything is missing. Message and data rates may apply, and you can reply STOP at any time to stop receiving them. May I send it to you at [mobile number]?"

Before the link can be created, the broker must tick, in the software: "I told this client they will receive a text from InfoClientIQ with their form link and reminders, and they agreed." Without that confirmation the software refuses to send the text. The confirmation is timestamped and kept with the request.

No client answer, no personal information and no attachment ever travels by text.

Fréquence, frais, retrait

At most five texts per requested form: the link, up to three reminders, and one follow-up. No recurring texts, no campaigns.
Message and data rates from your carrier may apply.
Reply STOP at any time to stop receiving texts, HELP for help.
The mobile number is deleted with the request, at most 28 days after it was created.
